iPlayer buffering and killing Amazon Fire TV

Hi there,

I have recently acquired a Fire TV to replace the (not so) smart side of my TV. Amazon Instant Video works perfectly, but BBC iPlayer prettey much everytime I watch something starts buffering and all I can do is kill the internet connection in the hops that that will reset something and make it possible to watch the rest of the program. it doesn't always work, but most times, it does.

Is there a way to cure this problem? I have been in touch with Amazon, but they cannot replicate the problem, so I think the issue must lie here, either with the router or the internet connection, coupled with teh way iPlayer content is delivered.

I am currently using Fibre with an HG633 router. I am also using a D-Link range extender plugged into my socket to get a wired connection.

The connection is fine and get plenty of speed (even when iPlayer dies...)

I jave been reading this thread

http://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Superpowered-Fibre-Broadband/Streaming-iPlayer-buffers-constantly/td-p/1426195

and in light of this I can say that in my case:

Primaty DNS Server:

62.24.243.4

Secondary DNS Server:

62.24.202.70

Also, I am not sure where to change the DNS settings to "Open DNS" (as advised in the thread), and I am not even sure I should do that.

Anyway, if you can make sense of all this, any advice?

Thanks Smiley Very Happy
