Another unhappy customer - considering buying a replacement router

Hi everyone,

ive been with Aol/TT for around 15 years now without any real issues, until last month when I upgraded to fibre medium. I'm now paying the extra per month for a less reliable connection and half the download speeds I was promised. I'm getting over 35mps via Ethernet, but struggling to get 20 through the wifi.

Ive been through customer services numerous times only to be told no line issues, somI guess it's the dreaded super router wifi issue.

I've now got to the point where it seems the best/easiest option for me is to buy a replacement, it pains me to do this as I feel cheated that the package supplied one doesn't seem up to the job.

Anyway,  there are only 2 of us in the house and we don't do online gaming etc, so I think the TP link w9980 would be more than adequate for our needs, it's also on offer at PC world at the moment for around £50.

Has anyone gone down this "route" yet, any help and advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks :-)

Just seen the post by twobigdogs which seems to answer my question. However, at least it's now been logged that I'm another unhappy customer suffering from the router issue!
