No stable connection

Hi All - just wanted to ask for other peoples experiences.

Got superfast broadband yesterday - first time with Talk Talk and first time with fibre.

The service switched at about mid day when it looked to go over to normal broadband first and then at about 3pm it switched to fibre.

At that point we lost our internet connection!

When i logged into the router it showed the connection constantly dropping out.

We get connected at 55 down, 20 up for about 48 seconds and then it drops out and starts initialising again - so is unusable.

I have tried a reboot via the GUI plus power off and back on, changed the filter, made sure nothing else was near the router etc. etc.

It looks like the router is cycling something as it also kicks you out after about 2 minutes so constantly have to login, even if you are in the middle of doing something.

I logged a call last evening and all the line tests were done and clear (which i expected as BT came out 2 weeks ago and re-did our line and sockets for us after which we have had great "normal" broadband.

They said to leave it overnight to see if it settled down (though i really think it is a faulty router) but it is the same again today so will have to call in again later.

Just wanted to know if other people have had similar experiences

This is a really important time for us and we cannot be without internet so am considering if i need to go and buy a new router, if it will self heal or if i need to just cancel the contract and start again with someone else.

I was really dissapointed that the router only has 100mb ports too - very odd for a "Super" router.

Thanks for any feedback
