We have had super fast broad band for about 18 months with no problems and good speed.
About 3 weeks ago, the connection started to drop out and has progressively worsened until last night it was unusable. This is a problem at all time of day and night so is not contention at the exchange or on the line.
We have tried all ideas on the forum, rebooting the router, it is running up to date software, changing channel, turning the router off for 30 minutes, I have even spoken to 2 Openreach engineers that were working in the village and advised me that there are no problems they knew of in our area.
We have a HG635, the internet light will turn red for 20 or so seconds an the broadband and wireless lights go out.
I am thinking that it could be the router or the Openreach box that runs along side it (why?).
Our telephone works alright.
can you send me a new router or do I need to go through your help desk who always take a long time?
