New Installation Problems

I've just signed up for the Talk Talk Fibre Broadbadn and I'm really not happy. The issue I currently have is I've connected everything up exactly as it is in the manual, but when I turn everything on, the power light is solid but the Internet light is flashing and as a result when I connect something to the router, it tells me there is no internet connection despite connecting me to the router with no problem.

 

Now firstly, I work in IT so yes I have set everything up exactly as described in the manual.

 

On top of this, i was told that an engineer would be calling yesterday between 1 and 6 for installation so I took a day off work, and no one showed. Next thing I know we received an email to say that the line was active (which it doesn't appear to have been). I've spoken to Talk Talk and all they keep telling me is that hte line is active, so I really don't know what else to do.

 

Has anyone experienced this or any ideas what I can try?
