I’ve recently signed up for TalkTalk with the Fibre Medium package, which was activated on Monday. Unfortunately, the speed is quite significantly below the estimate of 39-40Mbps. I’ve been lucky to get above 15Mbps, and the connection drops out regularly. The router is connected through a microfilter into the master socket. The upload speed has been about what I’d expected - it’s been fairly stable at 1.7Mbps.
I’ve also had issues connecting to my work VPN through the router – I think this is a separate issue.
We’ve only recently moved, and I’m not sure how good the phone line is – it was there when we moved in but I don’t know when it was last used. Is it possible that the line is faulty?
