Cannot establish WPS connection between HG633 router and powerline wifi extenders

Hi,

I have a Huawei HG633 router from TalkTalk, and bought a new set of powerline adapters / wifi extenders by TP-LINK, specifically TL-WPA4226KIT + 2 * TL-WPA4220 (I want 3 extenders in specific locations in the house). I want to enable seamless roaming through the house with the router's network SSID, not have multiple SSIDs in different parts of the house.

I have connected these to YouView boxes in each room and the wired connection works fine, but the wireless signal is still identified as the default from the powerline adapters. I am wary of setting my devices to "connect automatically" to these separate networks in case they have trouble when connected to 2 networks at once.

So I followed the guidance in the TP-LINK leaflet, to press WPS on the router for 2 seconds then press the Wi-Fi clone on the powerline adapter within 2 minutes, but the light on the adapter never changes from slow blinking to rapid blinking, which indicates WPS has not been established, and sure enough, the adapter's default network SSID still shows as an available network on my laptop, rather than the router's SSID.

I have tried downloading the TP-LINK Powerline Utility for my adapter and using a wired connection, but the utility cannot find the adapter. But I should not need to go down this route anyway.

I have logged into the router itself wirelessly and confirmed WPS is enabled, and both 2.4 GB and 5 GB are enabled.

So I am stuck! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am even willing to consider using an installation service to get it working, if there is a reasonably priced one. I have spent enough time on this already!

Many Thanks,

Keith.
