I will start by saying im not dumb by any means but networking and the like does go over my head a little.
I have been on medium fibre package for a while and really didnt like the super router HG635, so bought myself a TP-Link AC750 and everything has run like a dream since. Last week i upgraded to the large Fibre package and when checking my speeds the d/l speed never went about 35-37mg (both WIFI and wired) but I know the change had been activated as my upload speed went up to 19mg.
So as an experiment I unplugged my TPlink router (and the white openreach router) and put my super router back in, instantly my wired speed went up to 75mb but the wifi sticks between 25-35mgs, even right next to the router with interference.
I would prefer to continue using my tplink as very reliable but is there something I am missing or need to change to get it to increase, could the problem be the openreach router that I have to use when not using the super router.
Hope this makes sense and someone can offer me help in easy terms.
Thanks
