We are of fibre large, 35mb Down and 10mb Up speeds but when ever anyone is playing games we seems to be experiancing very high ping around the 300ms+ mark. The ping seems to be fine around 25-30ms some days which is ideal for the main game we play which is Counterstrike: Global offensive which requires low ping. Almost like a ping spike.
We play Counterstrike: Global offensive on a Competative level so low ping is a must. We get 23ms from the house to the exchange which is under half a mile away. I have even tried blocking the games servers IP addresses so that the game does not assign the player to a Russian west server which has a ping of 50-60ms, yet the Russian EAST server which is further away only has a ping of 44ms which makes no sence, Luxemburg server which is closer has high ping even though it is closer to my location in Wales/UK compared to a server that is practically the other side of the world.
A friend has recommended to be asked to be placed on FAST PATH service, will this resolve my issue or is there a line or connection we can be put on with low latency/ping but still achive the speeds we currently have?
