I upgraded from Fibre Medium yesterday to Fibre Large.
I was getting 38mb capped on medium with 2mb download - I was told I can get up to 78mb on the large package and increased upload speed so I went ahead with the upgrade.
I checked the speed today and the download is still at a constant 38mb but my upload speed has increased from 2mb to 14-16mb so I can see a change has been made.
My profile on the router has changed also - I have attached a photo for you to see.. The upstread before was 1999 and the downstream was 39999. This is what I assumed the capped speeds were.
This has now changed to 16426(upload) and 52691(download). I am assuming this means my max will be 52mb when it finally works? Strange it isnt going to be max 78mb because my area is usually pretty good for speeds.
Anyway, my problem is that I am still only getting 38mb download.. if my upload had not of changed I would still just wait for a change but considering the upload has changed and not the download I am concerned some settings have not been synced on talk talk's side?
I see people have had the same problem and resetting the router for 30 minutes has resolved this but I spoke to talk talk on the phone and they seem to have said wait 14 days for the speed to catch up?
Please can someone help me as i cant seem to get anything useful from people on the phone..
