Intermittent sync

We've started to receive the following on screen message over the past few days, coinciding with our superfast broadband connection going down.

Is this on screen messaging a new innovation? We've been customers of TT since they took over from whoever it was that bought out Pipex and have a history of problems with speed and a stable connection.

 

Our connection is rubbish at the best of times. We're supposed to get up to 38Mb but rarely achieve 25Mb wired. If using wifi and standing right next to the router the speed is never more than 18Mb.

 

Whilst typing this, the results of 3 speed tests are 8.12, 14.87 and 9.41. Turning the router off for 30mins make no difference at all.

 

Does anybody have any comment to make?
