Hi, hopefully I can get some advice here as calling customer service isn't helping.
Few weeks ago I switched to fibre broadband. After few days it started dropping connection every 3-5 minutes so I reported a fault with my line to a Talktalk automated service (it was Sunday evening and call centre was already closed).
The next day on Monday a BT engineer showed up and fixed something but left a note through my letterbox saying that he has done some "temporary fix" and he need access to my property to pull a new cable into the house and I should arrange a visit with TalkTalk. My broadband was working fine after that and I was quite busy at work to take care of it so I left it as it was but two days later I found another card in my letter box, from a different BT engineer, saying the same thing - arrange visit with your service provider (TalkTalk was named there) to pull a cable into my house. I also found that new cable was pulled from the street pole, under the roof, and it's now hanging above my door.
I called TalkTalk customer services three times, each time explaining the situation and each time the customer service representative claimed that the fault has been fixed and there is no need for further action and I should contact BT themselves to sort out the cabling.
I don't have and never had any services provided by BT (been TalkTalk customer for years now) but I tried contacting them anyway and as expected - BT says it's TalkTalk I should speak to to arrange another engineer visit and get this sorted.
I am now left with an ugly loop of cable hanging above my door (pic attached) and I don't see much point in calling TT customer service again for someone to tell me it's all fixed and wish me a lovely day.
Is there any UK number I could contact and speak to someone more competent than 1st line support guy reading from a script?
