Hello everyone, posting a thread seems to be my last resort as i have no idea what else to do!, unfortunately my mum and dad decided to buy a house in a really rual area, (closer to family blah blah) and as you can imagine, the internet is a nightmare. This rubbish little black box pushes out 2mb dload on a good day, and thats when noone else is using it. Im a 20 year old lad, typically, the internet is a big part of me! And every now and then i like to let myself go with abit of online gaming on my ps4, but...with two younger brothers it doesent really work as i wish it would, 2mb only gets you so far! And with living in a big house, my bedroom had to be the furthest away from the router, just my luck. Ive bought a tp-link wifi booster to plug in my room to give me a stronger signal and honestly, it seems to play its part well, 100% connection on anything i use, unfortunately that doesent fix the main problem, ive tried everything, rang talktalk atleast 15times, bearing in mind we have only lived here 6 weeks, also had 3 talktalk engineers come out on different occasions and 1 openreach bloke, who quite frankly, didnt seem to have a clue, apparently we are too far away from the exchange to get fiber, eventhough my uncle lives 50 meters away, maybe less, and hes pushing out 30/40mb through fiber!, tried telling talktalk this over the phone but they just know whats put on the script infront of them, my last resort, well from my knowlege is updating the router, currently on 1.15t and i believe the most recent is 1.16t, maybe that might help, but....it seems impossible to find the firmware to download, ive looked everywhere, even on torrent sites!, seems like it doesent exist, anyone know how to go about getting this or anyone have any ideas on how to make this pain abit more bareable? Open to solutions and ideas, cheers guys.
