HG633 Router / Wireless Issues.. With Pictures!!

I know that this is a issue shared by alot of people and to some, it may even go un-noticed, but for me, it has a huge impact on what I do day to day.

I have a PC connected to my HG633 router via a cable and currently have speeds a shade over 60MB. (See first image) Very happy as I am a fibre large customer.

However, I also have a laptop and mobile phone. And as most people have stated, the wireless of the routers isn't so great. I wasn't too sure, so I went that step further and  I have done a speedtest to compare a cable connection and a wi-fi one. Wow! I've found that between my cable connection and wireless connection, there is a drop of nearly 40Mb! ( see second image )

Both test are done from the same server and within two minutes of each other and 9:10am this morning.

My mobile just constantly drops connection and even struggles loading Instagram occasionally!

I've been a Talk Talk customer for many years and have had a few up's and downs, but overall they have been quite stable as far as ISP's go.. But in this day and age, this kind of thing is becoming unacceptable. I read on this forum constant moans about wireless connection of these routers and yet Talk Talk refuse to do anything about it. Yes, there is an update being sent down to these routers, but is that really going to help? We have had no actual conformation ( forgive me if I am wrong here, but I don't trawl through forum posts ) of what the update will do to the wi-fi performance if anything. I don't want to have to purchase an off the shelf router because I feel, as a customer, it should be Talk Talk rectifying the issues and supplying us with useable equipment.

Yes, I have a 20Mb connection on Wi-Fi, but I pay for and expected 3x times that, which I get via a cable. For me, it's ano brainer that the wi-fi ability of this router is hopeless.

COME ON TALK TALK - CAN YOU EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I'M LOSING 40MB????

And before the obvious is stated, I am a computer engineer, so I know pretty much what needs to be done before asking the quesion......
