Upon returning home this evening i have had a constant red internet light on my router HG633.
1. Unplugged router for 30 minutes.
Removed power cable completely.
Allowed to cool.
After 30 minutes have started it back up again.
Allowed 10 minutes for it to establish a connection.
Router still presents a red internet light.
2. Checked router settings.
Signed in as admin
Checked router is set to always on.
Still presents red internet light.
3. Call talk talks tech support
Presented with a rather distracted operator on the end of the line.
30 minutes later still only heard about 10 words from her and she had only just asked for what the power light was doing.
5 minutes later asked for my mobile number and pretended to call me so they can test the line.
Tried 3 times says its going to voicemail, tells me its impossible to just call me back on the land line when the test is done.
4 hours after i get home i am still no further with this issue.
Light readings on the router itself has not changed in the slightest the entire time.
Power = on and solid green
Broadband = on and solid green
Internet = on and solid red
Wireless = on and green
Ethernet = on and green
Tv = on and green
4. Turned wifi off on all devices.
Unplugged all cables.
Hard wired one computer
Rebooted router
Rebooted computer
Still presents red internet light.
This is the 3rd time this has happened.
Please assist!
