Fibre issues

Hi,

 

I have been having issues with my fibre broadband since it was installed in April.  It repeatedly drops when we are streaming shows and will disconnect any devices.  This happens both through the wireless and through a powerline adapter.  I have phoned the helpline countless times, they sent an engineer round and he discovered a fault on the line and he said that is why I am only getting 17mbs even though I have fibre.  He said openreach would fix it.  Next time I phoned talktalk (because I didnt hear anything), Talktalk said OpenReach have cleared the fault (no increase in speed) and they wanted to go back the beginning and run all the same tests again and said to change the settings on the router.  I did what they advised and tried disapling the 5GHz band and then the 2.4GHz band and I have tried all the channels on the router but to no avail.  It still repeatedly drops.

 

I dont know what else to try, i have looked in the forum and there seems to be a common issue with the HG633 router, is that likely to be the problem.
