I recently moved to Norwich (postcode NR4 7LH) and tried hard to find fiber for my postcode. I tried contacting various companies and then opted for Talktalk as I had spoken to a customer service adviser who said that fiber would be available within a few weeks.
Now I have signed up for Simply Broadband (which is the slowest broadband I have since the arrival of Broadband, even after 10 days) and I upgraded to Fiber successfully using the talktalk website. Now a week later I have had a call saying Fiber is not available. And the customer service adviser wasn't sure when it would be available.
It is irritating to be told that it would be available shortly (which is why i got the normal broadband with this company), and then doubly irritating to be able to purchase fiber on the website and get a confirmation email and then be told it is not available (other companies might have just told you it is not available from the start)?
Now I am at a loss of what to do because it is beyond the "cooling off" period for my 12 month simply broadband contract so if I cancel now I will lose out quite a bit.... Image may be NSFW.
