Router : HUAWEI HG533
Powerlines : TP-Link 200Mbps (Pair)
I've been using powerlines to connect my PC to my router for a number of years now, and it's never been particularly great with frequent resets having to be made each week. But most recently the problem has worsened, for the past few months at least if anything is downloaded across these powerlines at full Internet speed our router crashes out completely, with no way of accessing the 192.168.1.1 page from ANY device wireless or not, resulting in the need for a router reset. Its something incredibly annoying, it can crash multiple times per day, especially when performing automatic updates, it becomes pretty much impossible to connect.
To begin troubleshooting, I have removed the powerlines completely and carried the PC to the router and set it up close by. When wired directly to the router I attempted downloading a couple files, which resulted in no crashes of the router, something which hints at the powerlines being the culprit. But my concern is the nature of the router crashing, and why it completely freezes connection to every device. I wonder if it is simply incompatibility, or if the solution is finding a replacement for either product.
Any help is appreciated, I'm at a bit of a stand-still. Thanks.
