Right now (Tuesday 6th Sep 2016 morning approx 2am) TalkTalk have just went ahead and updated my Router from 1.15 to 1.20

Now, for starters I told them previously point blank to LEAVE THE *@#][!![]'#[@#]!* 1.15 on it and that I didnt even want to try the 1.20 etc which they said ok fine too, that was months ago.

But, as I say, they have just went blindly ahead anyway and done it and all I can say is now my hardwired ethernet pings are higher than before, upload speeds slightly less and download speeds just similar, overall its a garbage waste of time upgrade in my opinion (for now).

Wireless though is still an utter joke, mannnnnnn, Pings are through the roof worse than they ever were (and they were bad before too on both wireless and ethernet connections) and EVEN WORSE is the wifi distance coverage (signal strength), right now I am sitting with ONLY a plasterboard wall between me and the router and it cant even manage a full strength signal, I really dread having to test what the signal on the wireless is like upstairs if its this bad only a few meters away.

Altogether, so far after physically rebooting the modem for ages (power cable out etc) and then testing these things out, I would say that firmware 1.20 is not even worth the bother and it is instantly making my router worse than it was before and thats both on hardwired ethernet and especially wireless.

I shall be keeping a VERY VERY close eye on this to see how it goes over the next hours to maybe one day, if it doesnt get better or LOTS better then I demand my router to be returned to 1.15 as I didnt even ask for any of this garbage in the first place.

(P.S, you could have AT LEAST emailed customers to let them know what was happening and before any staff members hit me with any rubbish like "ohh your line looks ok from our tests" OR "this may take up to two weeks to settle down", that is nonsense, soon as I got talktalk installed I think at the start of the year, soon as I plugged it all in there was no waiting for nothing to adjust for days or weeks, right out of the box it worked with the same speeds I always had, well until now with your pile of pizz 1.20 firmware that is).

Sorry if I sound rude, I am not rude, I AM ANGRY, and I am entitled to be.

P.P.S, I live 0 (YES, thats zero meters) from the street cabinet by the way, its not actually zero meters as the cabinet is across the road and just a few meters up (semi detached houses, road isnt even wide enough for two cars, so thats how close), but yes, websites like samknows etc etc show me as being zero meters from the street cabinet, so I would have expected my Ping speeds to be SUPER EXCELLENT, AND MY UPLOAD AND DOWNLOAD SPEEDS TO BE THE SAME (HARDWIRED WITH ETHERNET), when I say excellent I mean full throttle for medium Fiber, 40Mbps download and 2Mbps upload, I never get that, its always a few Mbps slower on the download like approx 36Mbps-37Mbps and its only now and again I get 2Mbps on the upload side of things (usually about 1.7 to 1.8), BUT as for pings, I would have imagined hardwired 10ms or maybe even less, I am lucky if I get 30ms which I know is garbage for hardwired, wireless has scary pings of about 40ms, teribble, and thats not just with firmware 1.20, that was with 1.15 too................before anyone says ohh it could be ancient wiring etc, no chance, had sky Broadband before this and it was MUCH better, these houses are only six years old, the street is only six years old AND the street cabinet and all the cabling etc are all 6 years old too, as I say, had sky broadband before this and it was 100 times better, so there is no argument really on those terms unless something mad crazy mental has happend to the cabling in the space of time I went from sky to talktalk which was within minutes at the start of the year as I said, so, either this is it and thats all I get from talktalk, or something is not quite right, understand what I am saying ?

THIS MESSAGE IS DIRECTED AT TALKTALK STAFF MEMBERS DIRECTLY, other members, please dont be tempted to comment on all of this as it will keep putting my message to the back of the queue and it will take staff longer to respond, thank you (unless your a superior member that can mark this for the attention of staff that is, thanks).

P.P.S, and again before anyone asks, its plugged into the main test socket too same as it was with sky also.
