Hi there
I have an NVR connected to the HG633 Router, I can not connect to the device for some reason. It seems the router does not route to the device. It can give the NVR an ip address whether it is set to DHCP or Static, however IE states page cain't be displayed, pings comeback all four of them however states destination unreachable. Internally on the lan I should be able to type the ip in to a browser and the NVR log in page should be displayed.
I can not connect to the LAN device so I decided to see if I can connect externally, I port forwarded and mapped external and internal ports to 80 of the NVR and decided to connect through my pc browser, again it times out and states page cain't be displayed?
before i set up ddns I decided for testing to connect from another network through a mobile phone that is not on the talk talk network using the external WAN IP and external port which is mapped to the NVR internal port 80, it connected instantly bringing up the NVR web viewer log in page of my device.
Port forwarding worked fine.
I dont understand that why internally within the Talk Talk network, with my lan and Router, I cannot connect to my NVR, unless I go through and connect from a different network externally I cannot connect to it. I am disapointed, it is like the router is Faulty or settings have been changed so that I canot access the NVR through the lan or Talk Talk Router connected to a local PC, and I want to know why is this happening?
Regards
