TalkTalk appear quite keen on selling me a fibre connection.
I am currently in the process of resolving a problem with my current (copper) connection, so have been chatting to various Openreach engineers.
During the most recent visit, I told the engineer that I was being offered a fibre connection, but he was pretty adamant that because my nearest road cabinet is 2.8km away, there is absolutely no chance that it would work.
Does anybody else have a similar length of copper to their road cabinet, or are TalkTalk able to comment?
I would do anything (within reason) to improve upon my current 2Mbps!
