Is it worth upgrading from TalkTalk 15mb/s ADSL to TalktTalk Fibre Broadband for faster uploads?

We have just completed 12 months with TalkTalk after 40+ Years with BT and have been very happy with the service - actively encouraging our friends and relatives to leave BT for phone service - something which many people are scared to do.

We have an 18 month contract and got line rental half price for the first 12 months with ADSL included for free - now we have completed 12 months the line rental has doubled and is more inline with what most providers are charging - but we still have 6 months of free ADSL which works fine.

We get pretty decent ADSL Download speeds around 15mb/s but uploads only about 1mb/s - 95% of the time this is not a problem but I've started uploading more these days such as photos and video. Sometimes if I want to upload a YouTube movie that's just a few minutes long butin full HD I need to leave my PC turned on over night and it takes 7+ Hours.

TalkTalks medium Fibre service seems OK for downloads but I see the uploads is limited to just 2mb/s which isn't a huge leap in speed.

In 6 months time we will have to start paying for the ADSL as well with TalkTalk and I wouldn't mind paying a little more per month for Fibre even if it's only 2mb/s uploads but as a retiree I got ot watch the pennies so can't fulyl justify the price of their most expensive fibre service.

I'd love to upgrade to Fibre now if there was a decent deal with TalkTalk and wouldn't mind extending my contract with them but wondering if it's simply better to wait out the remaining 6 months and switch to a totally new supplier for phone and Fibre when I'll be totally out of my contract with TalkTalk?
