Speed drop from a steady 36mb to 25mb over the past few months

Hello.
I have been getting TalkTalk Fibre (upto 38MB) since August 2015. Speeds were good for the first 9 - 10 months. I was getting a consistent 36MB.This follows on from my 18 months that I was with Plusnet where I got a soilid 36MB. But earlier this year my speed dropped to 33MB. This didn't bother me as it was just a small drop. Then in August it dropped again to 30MB. Again I was not too bothered as 30MB was fine for my needs. Then on saturday (1-10-16) the speed dropped to 25MB. So I powered the router down and restarted it and in was still 25MB. I powered it down again and left it off for an hour and it still  came back at 25MB. So, over a period of about 6 - 8 months my speed has dropped by 11MB, I'm wondering just how low the speed could fall !
Can you check at your end to see if there are any obvious problems? I have done what I can at my end. The router connects to the master socket and it is normally never powered down and I don't use wi-fi.I can't detect any noise on the line. I have been reading around this forum and have come across people with a similar problem. For one person doing a factory re-set on the router worked. I did a router re-set yesterday (Sunday 2nd Oct) But no change as yet. Could this be a fault with the Router?

Thanks.
