New Contract Faster Fibre Help Needed

Hi I need help with my new contract (yesterday i renewed it to faster fibre with anytime calls) was previously on the old Plus TV with standard Internet but have been out of contract for about a year just still paying the bill every month. I am wondering if i need an engineer to install anything or a new router as the one I have is 3 years old (HG533) has a red fibre port and i have nowhere to plug that into also suffers with multiple disconnects/freezes every week and bad lag when streaming to chromecast or any other devices. Currently have a standard mastersocket need to use a microfilter.
Only asking as the order page does not give me any info, was never given an estimate fibre speed also, as i am looking to get the extra fibre speed boost so would like as estimate speed for that if possible.
Any help is greatly appreciated just have no idea what is going on except that it is going live on the 17th October
