I received a HG633 router, connected as instructions but 'broadband' light never came on.

I now have 3 HG633 routers but still having to use my HG533 and BT Openreach modem for my internet.
Reluctant to try Chat help again, any ideas, I have read about many HG633 problems on here but no one has any answers and no one knows or is admitting that there is a problem!
