Is my Fibre account actually Fibre Optics? Not being a techie, I ordered what I thought and was lead to believe was getting Fibre Optics. My line was tested and I was told is capable of receiving Fibre.(My top speed on a good day is 11.5). Talking to a friend the other night I was complaining about my download speed and the fact I cannot watch things like iplayer etc. He told me he was getting speeds of 30(With Sky Fibre and he lives further away from our exchange). Then he told me if I had fibre there would have been a different Fibre Box fitted, and I shouldn't be using the original BT box. Is he right, can someone please explain in laymens terms.
