For the last four months we have been fustrated by our unstable internet connection. It has never been a stable connection since we changed to fibre a few years ago. But in last 4 months it has seriously deteriated to the point that we often have no internet.
We have contacted talk talk at least 6 times and they send an open reach engineer out and he told us we are receiving 40 meg to the box in the house he replaced the socket to the double connector taking away the fillers. We live under a mile from the exchange and less than 10 feet from the green fibre box. They have send out 2 routers (Huawei he 633 version 1.01) one in August and the other in October, the same model but no improvement. When the engineer connected the new router the internet speed dropped from 40meg to 20meg which he couldn't understand. We tested both wifi and direct Ethernet with only one device connected No Change. Within hours it had dropped to under 10meg and within 24hours it dropped to 0mb no internet. Restarted router and within hours again internet loss.
Tried to to do a speed test earlier today it failed, no internet yet again. I feel that we are paying for a service that we are not receiving. Does anyone else agree?
