Potentially looking to move to Talk Talk.
They are offering Line Rental and upto 76mb Fibre for £32.70/month for 18 months. This is £10/month cheaper than my current BT package. I've tried negotiating with them, they aren't playing ball. So looks like a potential move.
Now, to the problem.
My BT contract expires on 22nd December 2015. I obviously don't want to move before this date as I'd probably have to pay BT something or other because I'm leaving the contract early. However I don't want the BT contract to become rolling as then it goes up in price considerably.
What are my options here?
Can I request an exact switch day from Talk Talk? So ask them to do it on 22nd December (so close to Christmas - I'm sure nothing can go wrong on that front!)
If I request a move earlier than this date are BT likely to somply charge me the remainder of my contract or will they "fine me" for leaving early? What I mean is if I were to leave BT a couple of weeks early are they likley to just charge me for those two weeks or charge me more for leaving the contract early?
