Fibre Upgrade

Ok, I'm really frustrated regarding upgrading to Fibre Optic. I have been at my current address for nearly 3 years now and when I moved here there wasn't any Fibre enabled cabinets in the town. I waited for over a year for Fibre to arrive to a big fanfare from the local press. I was eager to upgrade as soon as it went live but the 'fibre checker' on the talktalk website said it wasn't available in my area.

 

After phoning talktalk I was told that it normally takes up to 4 months for talktalk to be able to supply it from when the cabinet is fibre enabled. A bit of a set back but not the end of the world. Anyway, I waited for 4 months and tried again to which I got the same message on the website -that it wasn't available. I phoned again and was told I'll just have to keep trying and the website would let me know when it was available.

 

This was really disappointing so I kept checking every week from then on and.......... nothing! It is now 18 months since my nearest cabinet was fibre enabled and it's at the top of my road so I'm really close to it. To make matters worse I have found out that BT, Plusnet and other providers can all supply fibre to my address yet the talktalk website says it's not available. What is going on?

 

I have phoned talktalk today and can't get any answers as to why it's not available at my property. The worse part is that nobody seems to be able to tell me when it will be or if it ever will be. I don't understand how other companies can all supply fibre to my property but talktalk can't.

 

Can anybody enlighten me on this as I'm seriously thinking of changing provider now. I need Fibre Image may be NSFW.
