I’ve recently switched to Medium Fibre. TalkTalk say that the estimated download speed my line can handle is between 11.4Mbps and 23.3Mbps.
Since going live on 02/12/15 the download speed is consistently below 11.4Mbps. I’m currently getting 9.03Mbps download and 0.75 upload speeds. I’m using a wired connection.
Although an improvement over standard broadband, I am disappointed with the fibre speeds. Is there anything that can be done to improve the speeds?
The router is a TalkTalk supplied HG633 router. The router is plugged directly into the master socket. I’m not experiencing any problems with the telephone service. The router stats are shown below.
