Uploading to youtube kills the connection until it's finished?

I have talktalk fibre. It's been problematic to say the least (speeds dregrading over time etc etc). However for a week, everything worked ok and I'm happy with the connection.

I play a lot of Player Unknown Battlegrounds, as anyone who plays it knows, you can now upload highlights from the game to your youtube stream. This worked amazingly well, espeically when Talktalk increased our upload speeds, I even live streamed a couple of times.

However, now, and for the last  month if I try to upload anything to youtube, be it from the game or a seperate source, not only does the PC I'm uploading from start reporting that there's no internet available but every other connected device in the house reports there's no internet (and there isn't, nothing connects)

The upload carries on though and once it's finished, the internet connection comes back on?

I work from home a lot and use Dropbox to sync files. These files are large and it doesn't affect connections.

Could someone please help me? it seems as though it's uploads to youtube which are killing it?

I can upload to youtube perfectly find from my Plusnet provider at work. It seems to be a Talktalk/Youtube communication issue. I've already got the latest router which was sent ot me in the hope to sort out my terrible speed drop issues.

Matt
