Hi, I'm trying to enable a static ip for my internet connection so that I don't have to constantly update the address once in a while. I have tried going in the 'internet connection' page and changing the IP addressing type from DCHP to Static. However when I do so, I lose internet connection on my machines. When I set it to static it uses the same settings as it did with DCHP (Same IP, same mask, same gateway etc.) which worked, but for some reason static does not. I have tried changing the ip networking mask from the default 255.255.224.0 to 255.255.255.0, but no luck. Same story with changing the default gateway from 79.76.192.1 to 192.168.1.1. I've tried changing the DNS server to Googles, but again no luck. Tried disabling IPv6, again same story. I don't mind about getting a new IPv4 address, as long as it's static.
