Ongoing WiFi drop out

For about the last six months I have had to phone talk talk pretty much fortnightly to resolve the drop outs of WiFi.

Every time I go through the same old trouble shooting and being knowledgeable regarding computers, bored to tears doing the same old line tests that never find a fault, the same old changing of channels, same old checking lights on routers, updating of firmware, checking Ethernet cables, speed tests etc etc etc, I’m at breaking point. I’ve also already had an engineer and nothing has changed.

Ive been with talktalk for around ten years and I’m finally at the stage of looking into a new provider. Having a large family, with four WiFi hungry children and the endless cries of MUM, the internet isn’t working, I’m fed up.

The last time I called, I was told the problem would be escalated to a manager who eventually contacted me two days later by letting my mobile ring just the once and my house phone just the twice.

I pay between £60 to £70 a month for a WiFi that can’t keep its connection for more than a few days before becoming unstable.

This post is my last ditch attempt before I change ISP. The only thing that haven’t been tried is a new router.
