I have been changing the default WiFi password on the huawei hg633 for security reasons. When I try to enter a very strong password using special characters (the only way to get the password strength bar displayed to "very strong") when the password is saved I get an error :
"Wireless Password error. The password must not contain special characters."
This is an awful limitation for password security especially when the password strength bar displayed can only reach "very strong" when entering special characters. But when it comes to saving the password the router can't handle it.
This was no problem with the older D-Dlink routers, so this new huawei hg633 routers are comprmising user security for those that want strong passwords. Please can this be fixed in new firmware to allow special characters?
