Hello. When I was on 40/2 Fibre Medium, my line download speed was routinely between 35 and 37 mb (I am near the cabinet), but now I am on 80/20 Fibre Large, the download speed is always between 55 and 56 mb, while the upload speed is beween 18 and 19mb. As I had such good speed on Fibre Medium, I would have thought Fibre Large would have been proportionately better. The very good increase in upload speed doesn't reflect the disappointing degree of increase in download speed.
I wonder if the line profile needs resetting. I must confess that at the time of installation of the HG633 modem. I was troubled with intermittent connectivity at the modem that seemed to be due to the modem being placed next to the main power feed into our house. Re-locating the modem solved the modem connectivity issue, but prior to that I had reset the modem a few times, which I now realise it not good practise, and may have caused the line profile at the exchange to be downgraded.
Your help and clarification regarding the download speed issue would be most appreciated. I am a long-term, satisfied TalkTalk user.
