Still no activation 5 days later

We were supposed to switch over from BT to TalkTalk last Thursday. Our line with BT stopped on the Wednesday. One of our neighbours who works for Openreach had a quick look and apparently it's down to TalkTalks part in the process not the exchanges. My wife needs the access for work but TalkTalk are being less than helpful with no resolution in sight. I get told we are looking at it or I can't do anything as its not activated. I am now regretting this move and don't know what to do?
