faster fibre,OR IS IT?

Have been with talk talk for about 12 years on a standard broadband deal in December 2018 was having problems with speed so planned to jump ship to virgin but was persuaded to stay with talk talk by the sales team and upgrade to their faster fibre with speeds of average 38mb went live in December and all was fine,stable internet and the promised speed. Then around september the internet became unstable on occassions until we lost internet on 10th september,engineer was sent out to fix it but we were still losing connection,on 5th October we did a speed check and we were averaging 3mbps,reported to talk talk,they sent us a new hub,this has made no difference at all,so reported again on the 14th october and they have promised this problem will be fixed remotely by 28th october,so far the problem is still the same. Has any body else had this issue? and does anybody know why we are given that two week time frame? I feel fobbed off by talk talk as this has been an ongoing issue for over a month. thanks
