fibre connection is awful

for a month now we've had nothing but problems with our fibre broadband, we usually get only about 14-16mbps download speed and about 1.7mbps upload.

 

the initial problem was the connection was incredibly slow and was constantly dropping out. my dad contacted yourselves first and got no response after requesting a line check, I then contacted support after hours and through the automated system requested a line check which came back with no faults, my dad then contacted support again and organised openreach engineers to visit and find a problem, the engineers were here for 6 hours and they had to change some wiring underground and that supposedly fixed the issue. While they fixed the dropping issue, it's still been very slow for the last 3 weeks. We had a new router sent out which has been installed and are still getting terrible connection. It seems to be at it's slowest in the morning, but right now at 9pm it's taking half a minute to load web pages (on multiple devices) and I am currently using facetime which has to keep pausing the video since the connection is so poor.

 

i did a speed test and we're currently on 5mbps download and 0.5 upload. It used to work so well but the last month it's been horrendous. when are we going to recieve the service we're paying for again?

 

EDIT: also to add, our phones did not work at all the first week when it was constantly dropping, even then support centre told us there nothing was wrong with it. that was fixed after the openreach guys visted, they work fine now
