Unclear activation dates - please help

Initially when I ordered Fibre Medium online - it gave me an activation date of 4th March 2016. I have since received confirmation by text and email that it will now go live on the 7th March 2016.

 

My current provider have confirmed to me that services with them will disconnect on the 4th March meaning if TalkTalk broadband is activated on the 7th March, I will have no services over the weekend at all...

 

I simply don't understand why both of you are saying conflicting dates? Surely Talktalk would communicate the activation date to my current provider? Unless the initial date was provided but then pushed back for no reason at all to the 7th.

 

I would've thought the process would be seamless with hardly any lag in between transferring services?

 

Please can someone help me clear this up on whether it will be activated on the 4th March or I have to wait a weekend with no services? Which was not my intention when changing provider to Talktalk!
