I moved house in September and my Fibre Broadband went live on 22nd September, my existing phone number and TV package was also moved. I must say this happened faultlessly and was an excellent service.
My speed at the time of connection (no engineer visit was deemed necessary) was 21 Mbps, which was a little disapointing as I had a consistent 38 Mbps at my previous address, but I understand the effect of the distance to the exchange etc. has.
However, since then the speed has gradually dropped to a lowly 14 Mbps which is quite noticeable. All the speed measurement were done with exactly the same network configuration and the same devices in use. Whilst I accept that I may be a bit further away from a different exchange the estimated speed was between 16.4 Mb and 30 Mb and so I no longer even achieve the lower limit.
