Upgraded to Fibre Large but speed is still as slow as Fibre medium

Hi,

A few weeks ago I took the plunge and upgraded to fibre large to hopefully boost my download speed and more importantly upload speed. Unfortunatley although the upload speed did seem somewhat quicker it still wasn't as quick as i supposedly should be getting.

I've seen in some other threads on these forums that theres a bt test you do where you put in your address and it shows what your location should be capable of reaching speedwise. I did one of them and it said i should be getting 30 mbps down and 15 up which would be great. Alas I am getting approx. 15 mbps down and 4 up which is less than spectacular and is also not much of an improvement over fibre medium if any.

I've tried leaving the router/modem off for a period of time but that didnt help. I waited a few weeks for it to kick in and upgrade but it didnt seem to. So im thinking that its probably something along the line that needs repairing. Be it the modem, the line into my house or something else down the line.  Also its not a problem with the wifi because I use a cable to my PC and game consoles which is primarily what I use the internet on.

So I guess my question is what do people recommend I do? Shall i ring up talktalk support and get an engineer down here? Get a new modem? Request a freebie modem because im such a good customer WinkWink?

Thanks in advance

James
