Like many others in this forum I'm experiencing a ludicrously high number of Wifi errors which is severely hampering the performance of the system as a whole. I typically find that I have to reboot the router every couple of days or so to get usable Wifi connections. I also find that the overall performance of the router is often severely impacted by the problems on the Wifi side - my main PC is connected via RJ45 and, running internet based speed checks, I have seen download values as low as 5mbs which then rises back to 38mbs following a reboot.
BTW I have already followed all the good advice about achieving best Wifi signal strength, avoiding interference etc , etc, etc. Observable improvements with these techniques are marginal at best in my case and are completely dwarfed by fundamental flaws in the HG633 router.
Anyhow, there's been a lot of talk here about a new release of firmware (1.16t) which seems to have been in development now for 8 months or more but still hasn't been rolled-out. In addition it seems that support team have stopped dealing with individual cases like this while the new firmware release is prepared.
Can the support team please confirm when the new firmware will be released?
As things stand I am faced with having to buy a new router to see me though the remainder of my TalkTalk contract but clearly I'd like to avoid this expense if a new firmware fixes the problem and the rollout is imminent.
Many Thanks
