broadband not working

My Internet has not been working since Monday, called support and was told there are no line faults however the internet light is still red after a number of resets and on/off combos. Nothing has changed with my equipment I have double checked all the connections and yet it is still down. Yesterday I was told the soonest I can get an engineer out is the 30th of July which is crazy! I can get one of your competitors in and swapped over in a day, and you telling me it will take over a week just for an engineer??? This needs to be sorted ASAP!
