This is the first time I've tried to use my HG533 router for anything more than wifi internet connection - I'm trying to set up a Synology DS216se NAS so it can be accessed not only within the house as a mapped storage drive but also by my daughter when she goes to University....,
Although I can access the NAS to manage it (via local IP address), it's not being picked up as a media device, and after a fair bit of investigation, I believe that this is due to a port forwarding issue... (and I then found this community forum and a few threads noting that there might be port forwarding issues with this router?).
(I did look on the Port Forwarding website for this router and unfortunately my Synology DS216se NAS is NOT on the list)
Can anyone help...?
