I did not (and still don't) care about dropped frames when streaming TV over my internet connection. My broadband is for PC and gaming use. TV catchup is a small portion of our use.
With the old ADSL standard broadband, when I asked nicely in here, one of the admins could lock my SNR levels at 6db and turn off DLM so the profile didn't auto-adjust.
Is this an option with fibre? My router is reporting upstream 6.3db and downstream 14.4db. Speeds are 36-37mbps down and just under 2mbps up. Is there a faster profile that we can try?
Thanks admins!
