On Sunday 31st July along with details of my bill I got an offer from TalkTalk informing me that fibre was now available in my village to which I could upgrade to for an extra £10/month, with a half priced connection fee of £25 and a 'Super Router for £6.75 if one is required - if I renewed for 18 months.
This offer I immediately took up and as my normal bill is £17.70 I expected it, with the additional upgrade fee, to increase to £27.70
BUT the acknowledgement e-mail states it will now be £37.70 - as I seem to have been charged for fibre twice - the offer said Super Fibre was not available.
There was no question as to whether a new 'Super Router' was required or not.
It also stated that I could check the progress on my order by "Logging into your account with your details below" - there were no details below.
I have also read that others, on other exchanges, have been offered an upgrade to fibre for less.
What is going on?
