Lots of problems..... 15 Min Public IP lease and constant disconnects.

Hi, I am not sure what has happened but we are having nothing but problems with our internet.

The problems started about 2 weeks ago when the internet and phone went out for most of yorkshire for about 3 hours at 1am in the morning.

Everything seemed fine after the internet came back up but things have been getting worse since. Pages not loading, pages getting stuck half way through loading, high ping, low speeds. I have checked the router status and can see that our public wan IP address has a very short lease of 15 minutes, it wasnt like that before im sure it was 24 before. The renewal of the lease isn't always seamless and we are getting disconnects about once an hour for 5 mins. We are also getting disconnected at 1:15 every morning for about 45 mins.

I have tried troubleshooting the problem but haven't managed to get it working correctly.

I have tried 3 different machines running 3 different os's (osx, linux and windows), 2 routers (Netgear D7000 and TalkTalk Provided Router), 3 different dns servers (opendns, google and talk talk), Wireless and Wired. We use the master socket and have no extensions, no iplate and no adsl faceplate. I have also tried the test socket but it didn't have any affect.

The package we have is Fibre Medium, we normally get speeds of 38Mbps but are currently getting 24-26Mbps. DSL link speed is showing 39970 down and 1999 up. We are on the Cayton Bay (MYCAY) exchange connected to cabinet 8.

The issue doesn't appear to be limited to just me, My neighbours who are on the SimplyBroadband ADSL package are also experiencing similar issues such as slow loading and high ping.

There are no issues showing on the bt openreach page but I believe the issue could be at the exchange, pcp or at the fttc cabinet.

Im not sure what to do as talk talk technical support is not very helpful as they just guide you through how to connect the router to the test socket and try blaming the router equipment.
