We live in a little village outside Macclesfield and have had TT fibre broadband for a couple of years. It seemed pretty good at 25Mbps download and 1.88Mbps upload.
That was until recently. O2 put 4G into the village and now I can get 50Mbps download and 20Mbps upload on my phone in the house, in the garden, and in fact all over the village. In the house 4G is a lot better than WiFi so I often turn off WiFi on my phone when I am at home.
Fibre Broadband doesn't seem quite so Superpowered now.
I am not sure how to make the best use of the available resources. I know I can get a 4G modem which will need a SIM card and that I will have to pay for 4G data. But I am already paying £10 per month for fibre and I might be able to cancel that and just use 4G.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, David.
