Hi.
I had my fibre connected up under a week ago.
It has been going great and my sync speed only dropped frm 60 to 56 at the monent.
Then today I had no Internet.
The router was still synced but the Internet light was red.
I logged onto the router to take a look and nothing appeared to be wrong, apart from my sync speed was down to 32mbps.
I then checked the phone and that was dead too.
I thought to hell with this, and took a stroll to my cabinet abd found an Openreach engineer with his head in it.
I told him what he had done, and he asked me if my address was so and so. I said no. He then said that it was on the same circuit, and he was connecting fibre for some one in a completely different street.
How on earth can that knock mine off?
My new FTTC connection is only a ferw days old and this could mess up my DLM profile.
Could someone from TalkTalk report this back to Openreach and get my DLM profile reset.
Not at all happy having my phone and Fibre kniocked off when he installing fibre for someone completely different.
My sync is now back but a little lower than what it was. This is not acceptable and I want it sorted and ack the way it was and the DLM reset.
Connecting someone elses should not affect mine. What if I needed to make an urgent call or something?
God forsaken BT and Openreach.
