Hi all.
My broadband at a new house is pretty low, it's been hovering at 6-7 mbps download for a couple of days now. It doesn't fluctuate at all at the speed it reads out through speedtests (speedtest.net) so at least it's a solid 6-7 mbps I'm wired to the router, I'm plugged into the test socket (for the last day or so) and I'm wondering whether all is well with my connection. I was told that we didn't need an engineer, but my suspicion is that the house basically has no fibre connection and I'm just connected to "normal" broadband. Is there a way to linetest or check or anything? My TalkTalk house phone number is in the personal details sections, that good enough? Any staff with the means to test, or regular users with any bright ideas? I've heard lines can stabilise etc. but 6-7 on what should be much higher seems rather low. Thanks for any help you can provide
